Bastille Post | The Hong Kong Pakistani teacher who teaches Chinese to ethnic minority students.

Hina Butt was born and bred in Hong Kong but suffered years of racial discrimination during her school years. She attended Chinese medium of instruction schools and worked hard to become fluent and literate in both Cantonese and Mandarin. Chinese fluency has changed the course of her life and she now she teaches Chinese to other ethnic minority children. She's also been instrumental in the development of CAL reading materials.
