The amount of the full-year grant for the 2017/18 school year is $363,510 for each eligible Scheme-KG.
KGs are required to use the grant solely to enhance support to their NCS students. The grant may be used for appointing additional staff or acquiring services to provide teachers with more manpower support and for teachers’ professional training to develop effective strategies to help NCS students learn Chinese, raise teachers’ cultural and religious sensitivity in handling NCS students and enhance the communication with the parents of NCS students.
